It’s true. It is the most wonderful time of the year. But for Charles & Lekisha, this time of the year now has one more reason for celebration. You see, the week before observing the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, Charles & Lekisha celebrated their union to one another. The weather didn’t cooperate. Snow and freezing rain forced some to miss the ceremony. However, what God has joined together …, well, you know the rest.

I find it to be such a privilege when ask to provide professional wedding photography on one’s wedding day. But this day was different. This day I wasn’t just a professional wedding photographer. In my last wedding of the year, I present to you my brother and new sister in law, Charles & Lekisha.

Being a veteran myself, I was so hoping to photograph a military wedding this year! We’ve photographed several active duty soldiers and sailors, and everyone of them were absolutely beautiful (even without the Service A’s). Jason + Keyonna fall right into this category. I’m always honored to cover nuptials. But, I almost feel a responsibility to make myself available to active duty service personnel on their special days. Yes, this beautiful bride is currently serving our country in this time of war. But on their wedding day, it was just Jason + Keyonna. And that is just plain beautiful.

You’ve seen their engagement session at Duke Gardens. And you’ve seen their day before session at the beach in St. Augustine, FL. Now we present their wedding @ Laterra Resort in St. Augustine, FL. Stephen and Shenika tied the knot and are now husband and wife! I wanted to do something special for them within this post by showcasing their wedding in predominantly black & white photography.

Their day was special for so many reasons. Among them, I had the opportunity to work with Lewis Johnson who agreed to second shoot for me. Lewis is an amazing photographer based in Tallahassee, FL. We met during the DWF Convention in Phoenix this year and I couldn’t have been happier with his performance.

Leon + Jessica: Barclary Villa, Pt. 2

Leon & Jessica’s dream wedding at Barclay Villa didn’t end with the ceremony. Following the reception’s grand entrance they were greeted by a young ballerina (and flower girl) with an awesome solo dance. Not to be outdone, Leon and his fraternity brothers had several performances of their own! And no In His Image {Wedding} Photography is complete without the signature ring shot.

Many have dreamed about it, yet few have ever come close. For Leon and Jessica, wedding in a castle is reality. Picturesque, and picture picture perfect, this wedding ceremony was blessed from beginning to end. We are humbled to serve as their wedding photographers, documenting their day long into the evening. We also provided her bridal portrait in gallery wrapped canvas. Her pose, classic. Her dress, to die for. Her hair, my wife can’t stop complimenting it.
