Taurean + Anita decided to make the commitment sooner than later. So much so that I was torn whether to call their Duke Gardens engagement photography session something completely different, like a “day before session”. Why? Well, they actually wedded just days after this session. In fact, for the first half of their session, they were dressed in their formals. We did photograph the remainder of their session in more casual attire, but I’m so partial weddings that we’re just sharing the first half of their session at Duke Gardens.
Anita was nice enough to share some of her thoughts in planning, executing, and reviewing her engagement session.
Share with us how you two met?
“Online, here in North Carolina. We both decided to try something new with online dating because we both had very busy work schedules and never got out and were waiting and believing God for a soulmate who was ready to share, receive and give all the love we both had to offer.”
Tell us about the proposal:
“Taurean proposed in the middle of Times Square in NY on his birthday 10/22/11 on our vacation to NYC. It was a day I’ll never forget. I fell in love all over again because he showed me that even though it was his birthday, no other gift in the world mattered except spending the rest of his life with me. I’m the only gift he needed to make his life complete. Wow is all I can say. God truly blessed me.”
How / why did you choose your engagement session location?
“Duke Gardens was such a beautiful place that’s filled with beautiful scenery and flowers which reflect our Love for each other. Beautiful and romantic!”
Did you enjoy your engagement session?
“We loved our engagement session. The fact that Mr. Jones allowed us to be ourselves and made us very comfortable because of his passion for what he does.”
“We so looking forward to our ceremony and to hire Mr. Jones to photograph that day. We love our photos. Although I (Anita) don’t smile much, the fact that the pics are still breathtaking is priceless.”
Parting words from the bride:
“Thank you Dajuan for your passion, professionalism and the priceless memories you’ve captured for Taurean and I to remember forever. May God continue to pour blessings into your life.”
