Cornelius + Erica

“We’re classy!”, that’s what I heard Erica say in response to friends & family just before they served each other cake at their Marriott Crabtree wedding reception.  But then I saw that look in her eyes.  That I’m up to something look.  I wanted to warn Cornelius, but I also didn’t want to miss the shot.  Well, I captured the moment, which was one of many such fun & loving moments between Cornelius + Erica during their wedding day.  It is days like this that make my time as a Raleigh wedding photographer feel much more like fun than work.  Documenting the celebration of marriage with friends and family who love and play the way this day held is why I love being a wedding photographer!

Now, if you’re a frequent reader of this Raleigh wedding blog, then you should recognize Erica from her amazing bridal portrait session in Raleigh shared just two weeks ago.  She received tons of responses to this portrait session, but none greater than Cornelius’s response to seeing her bridal portrait on display during her Marriott Crabtree wedding reception.  Yes, I captured that moment too!

Marriott Crabtree Wedding Preparation

My day started off meeting Erica and her bridal party at the Marriott Crabtree for the bridal prep photos.  This was ideal because of the great window lighting and the size of the room made capturing this part of the day just right.

 

 

Elevation Baptist Church Wedding

Then is was off to Elevation Baptist Church for the donning of the gown, final preparation and the all important ceremony!

 

 

Marriott Crabtree Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, it was time to head back to the Marriott Crabtree for their wedding reception.  Just after arriving, it was time for their amazing “reveal”.  Their wedding planner, Timiel Dewberry, arranged for a “David Tutera” styled reveal.

The In His Image Photography reveal left Cornelius with this very pleased look on his face upon seeing Erica’s bridal portrait for the first time!
