Among the many Raleigh portrait photographers, I look to differentiate In His Image Photography based on style and atmosphere. It’s easy for me to describe my style by displaying images captured over the years, but to put it in words is much more concise: detail, moments, quality. I bet you were expecting to hear me say that my style is photojournalistic, or better yet use part of my wedding service mark “Your Wedding Portrait-journalist”. After all, I haven’t shared much in the way of non-wedding related portraiture in quite some time. It hasn’t been uncommon lately for me to field questions asking if I cover other areas of photography beyond weddings. Well, I do, but I haven’t marketed them in order to grow the wedding portion of the business. Detail. Moments. Quality. This applies to every segment of photography I pursue, because it is a part of my being. Am I still a photojournalist? Yes. How about a portrait-journalist? Absolutely! But among the Raleigh portrait photographers, I intermingle these traits to provide a differentiated experience and product that, regardless of photographic genre, always measures up to detail, moments, and quality. I’ll talk more about atmosphere in a later update. Now, about this particular shoot …
Demetris is a Raleigh area wedding & event designer. His style is unique among designers and highly sought after. I love his passion for his work and his pursuit of excellence in all he does. So when he and Shekinah arrived at my home based studio, I knew that we’d make fantastic images. I wasn’t sure what Demetris was looking for other than studio portraits to use for his new thank you cards. When he arrived at the studio, he noticed a particular bridal portrait on display and wanted a similar clean high key approach.
