December has been surprising good for Wedding Photography in Raleigh. Typically the winter months are when wedding activities slow down, but for Sedrick + Dora, things were just heating up. Dora is an absolute sweetheart, who obviously loves a distintive shoe. Sedrick is calm & cool, with an ear for music. Together they are members of the band “Genre”, and destined to make music together for a long time. Infinity. Yes, like the luxury automobile. Like what Sedrick bought Dora, an Infinity, for a wedding gift. You know, just a “thank you for being my wife” kind of gift. I can dig it! I digress.
Okay, back to their wedding: Sedrick + Dora worked with Shanique of Unique Weddings + Events in planning their wedding evening. But this was not your “normal” wedding being planned. This was a surprise wedding being planned. Although I photographed their engagement session much earlier this year, all was held under wraps in support of the surprise. Their parents weren’t even aware until just a few weeks before the ceremony. Most friends arrived thinking they were attending one Genre’s performances. Yeah, surprise!
